Nickels and Nickel Alloys

Nickels and Nickel Alloys

High nickel welding alloys are the most difficult to design due to the very stringent physical specifications that they need to meet in specific industries. Selectrode over many years has worked on developing the very best performing group of these products in all categories.

Product 1112 is a thin coated all position Inconel electrode. Performance is excellent in vertical, horizontal, flat and overhead positions. Product 1112 is used extensively in the petrochemical industry due to its extremely high chemical attack resistance. The exceptional chemical attack resistance is combined with extraordinary elongation and tensile strength making this electrode an exceptional choice for making extreme applications.

Product 1116 is designed for welding most nickel base alloys. Its primary advantage over other alloys is its extreme resistance to attack by sulfuric acid. Basically it is the ultimate choice for harsh sulfuric acid environments. The electrode coating is thin and facilitates all positional welding in horizontal, vertical, flat and overhead positions. The tensile strength is very high giving this electrode wide acceptance throughout the chemical industry.

Product 1122 contains Niobium which affords it properties unequaled for joining high temperature and cryogenic steels and nickels. This electrode is one of the few available Inconel electrodes that perform not only on DC current but it also excels on AC current. The coating is designed for all position operation including vertical, horizontal, flat and overhead positions. The arc transfer characteristics are very smooth and the slag removal is extremely easy. Crack resistance and tensile strength are very high. This alloy composition is also available in Tig form as product code 6082.

Product 1123 is a high recovery electrode designed specifically for joining and or cladding dissimilar nickel alloys or joining these alloys to stainless steels. It excels in applications involving both heat and corrosion. It is excellent with resisting oxidation when exposed to reducing acids and alkalis even at elevated temperatures. This electrode performs well on both AC and DC equipment. It is available as a bare Tig wire as Selectrode code 6023.

Product 1127 is a Monel electrode that is especially suited for repairs in chlorine environments. It is used for both joining and cladding nickel/copper alloys exposed to salt water and marine applications.

Product 1222 is a high recovery cladding and joining electrode depositing a high strength Inconel 625 chemistry. It performs equally well on both AC and DC equipment. Weld deposits can withstand temperature extremes ranging from -140 degrees F (-196 C) to 1900 F (1050 C).
