Turbo-Blast Extra High Arc Blast Cutting/Gouging Electrodes
Product 1360 (black flux coating) and 1362 (green flux coating) both share the same flux coating design and features. These electrodes have proprietary coating elements that create a 25% higher arc blast than any other electrode of this type. They both can cut or chamfer (gouge) almost all metals including stainless steels, aluminums, steels of all types, cast irons etc. They are especially well suited for the removal of stainless steel weld deposits and joints. All features are accomplished totally without the use of supplemental oxygen.
The non conductive flux coating on both of these electrodes is designed with metallic elements that create an extremely conductive “cup” once the electrode is partially used. This conductive cup completely eliminates restrike issues normally found with conventional electrodes in this category. Restrike ignition is instantaneous on all base metals. Another benefit created by this unique coating design is the fact that these electrodes excel when used on both large and small low open circuit voltage AC (alternating current) welding machines.
Low Smoke Cutting/Gouging Electrodes
Our 1363 (red flux coating) and 1364 (grey flux coating) are designed on a completely different flux formulation concept from conventional cutting/gouging electrodes. The primary design concept that evolved was a cutting/gouging electrode that generates approximately 30% less smoke than normal cutting/gouging electrodes. This feature is extremely important when cutting/gouging in confined or minimally ventilated work places. Despite this unique coating design these electrodes still operate on all common base metals and have a higher than normal arc blast. Alternating current performance continues to excel with both large industrial power sources as well as low open circuit voltage farm type welders. The flux coating carries over the same conductive cup restrike feature that was developed for our TURBO BLAST range.
Cutting Only Electrodes
A very special extra thin coated electrode was designed for high speed cutting of all common metals. This is our product 1361 which is exceptional when cutting is the only requirement as opposed to a combination cutting/gouging electrode.
